What is Porsche Connect? 

So many automotive manufacturer’s now offering innovative and intuitive features that enhance the driver’s experience of a vehicle.  That’s where Porsche Connect comes in.  But what is Porsche Connect?  And what can it offer drivers?

With Porsche Connect, the functions of your vehicle are extended with more intelligent services and apps that will make a closer connection between you and your car.  The system is easy to install and use, benefiting all types of drivers with connectivity, entertainment and useful features.  Plus, it integrates seamlessly with your smartphone, allowing you to take Porsche Connect with you even when you’re not in your vehicle.

Available Porsche Connect Features 

There are many various technologies that Porsche Connect can offer before, during and even after you are in your car. 

BEFORE 

  • Send destination directions to your car before you leave 
  • Check the traffic, news and weather 
  • Find points of interest, hotels, parking lots, charging stations, restaurants, etc. 
  • Find your vehicle’s location and direct you to it 
  • Check fuel or oil level or tire pressure on smartphone 
  • Unlock your vehicle via smartphone 

DURING 

  • Apple CarPlay™ 
  • Real-time traffic information to avoid jams or construction 
  • Radio Plus 
  • Risk Radar – Traffic Signs 
  • Porsche Voice Pilot 
  • Navigation Plus with online map update, panoramic view 

AFTER 

  • Lock your vehicle via smartphone 
  • Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (an independent theft-detection feature) 
  • Breakdown call and transmit location with vehicle info to Porsche Assistance 
  • Emergency call in event of collision 
  • Navigation will transfer to smartphone to take you straight to your destination  

You can download the Porsche Connect app onto your smartphone from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.  The available Porsche Offroad Precision App will make driving off-road even more thrilling by recording film and images of your driving moments.  And it will also evaluate your driving experience with a comprehensive overview.  Then, to record your driving performance, analyze it and share the data, you can download the Porsche Track Precision App.
