With Halloween coming up, many people like to visit terrifying attractions and participate in scary activities to get in the spooky spirit. Along with corn mazes and pumpkin patches, haunted houses are a major part of the October experience. Here are some of the best haunted houses in Delaware.

FrightlandÂ
Scary enough to be in the Top 10 Scariest Haunted Attractions in the United States, you are sure to have a terrifyingly good time while here. There are a few different haunted houses to visit and even a Haunted Hayride for extra thrill. Plus, it also has an amusement park with games and food.
Nightmares Haunted HouseÂ
Continuously winning awards for best Delaware haunted house, this is definitely not a place for the faint of heart. And it will be open Halloween night where you can wear your costume as you are being scared with your friends. They also collect canned food items for food pantries in the community and you can save on tickets if you donate.
The Cemetery HouseÂ
Open only on specific days, this is the longest running haunted house on the Eastern Shore and also collects canned goods for the community. The scaring begins with a haunted hayride from the parking area to the house. The house is changed every year so if you went last year, you’ll have a whole new experience this year.
Slaughter House FarmÂ
Every year, the Scott family welcomes those who are brave enough to their gruesome farm to scare the residents of Delaware, with proceeds going to Operation We Care. With its own creepy lore, you are sure to have a serious fright as you wander the grounds while hearing the petrified screams and groans around you.
